Artist Statement
I have been studying art and designs for the past 10 years, my interest began with graphic design and print making, slowly evolving to mixed media paintings. With each painting, I enjoy experimenting different techniques. My inspirations come from everyday life sceneries.
The piece entitled "Gabriella", was inspired by a photo of my daughter and is an example of my early work with portrait.
The piece entitled "Bonsai tree", is the beginning of my work on series. I like to use series because it allows for my work to expand in any direction.
My work is a journey, I try to explore different themes like portrait, landscape, seascape, modern, and others.
Here are a couple of citations from Degas:
"Only when he no longer knows what he is doing does the painter do good things."
"Painting is very easy when you don't know how, but very difficult when you do."
Edgar Degas (1834-1917), French Impressionist artist.
